We create the show.
And the technology behind it.

Starbound Labs is a drone light show company and technology developer based in the United States and United Kingdom. We design and perform aerial light shows, build our own drone hardware, write our own firmware, and develop the software used to create, operate, and maintain a drone show fleet.

Our software family, Starbound OS, brings together Starbound Designer, Starbound Commander, and Starbound Fleet Management. Alongside Spectra, Starbound Viewer, and our consultation tools, it connects the creative process with the aircraft and people who bring each performance to life.

We design and perform drone light shows for events, brands, weddings, festivals, and celebrations. Our work brings together creative direction, formation design, animation, lighting, music, site planning, and show operations to turn a story into a performance in the sky.

Our own hardware and firmware

We develop and build the aircraft and electronics behind our shows, including our Spectra drone. We also write the onboard firmware that connects flight, lighting, communication, and aircraft behavior. Hardware, firmware, and software are developed together as one system.
